Just finished hosting retreat #4 for an amazing group of human beings
Hats off to each person who showed up and braved whatever was thrown their way. I have the highest respect for the people who are open to digging into the deepest parts of who they are and challenging who they once learned they "should" be.
Working on and healing yourself is excruciating. It's painful. It's challenging. We see a lot of stuff we don't want to see. We face a lot of hard decisions that need to be made.
Every single person on this planet has a story.
Has a wound
A deep pain
Something far below the surface that you may never see
Yet we still choose love.
We still choose hope.
We still choose to believe that the world, indeed, is meant to be enjoyed and that life is meant to be lived.
It takes a lot of character and resilience to not be sullied by the circumstances life has given you that are not in your favor and are even downright damaging.
One of the bravest things any of us will ever do is to let go of what's been hurting us.
I mean it when I say I have the best job in the world. I get to witness people being brave in facing their fears. I see the stark truths of humanity and get to see the humanness in us all. I watch people heal, release, and step into their power. Own their voice. Fall in love with life, themselves, and other people again.
These are the people who are really changing the world.
If you want to change the world, you need only reclaim your own light so that its brilliance lights the way for those around you to find theirs.
You need only fill yourself with love, so that is what can pour forth from you and onto others.
I joke that I retired at the ripe age of 31. While I did leave my profession as a speech therapist, I am still working.
Although it often (most times) doesn't feel like work at all.
Filled with gratitude for this opportunity and thanking each person who has trusted me on their healing journey 💖✨️
