It’s easy to see why the Sea of Cortez is one of my favorite in the world

The backdrop of the brown mountains against the most surreal oceanic greenish-blue hue will put your world at a standstill

It possesses the kind of beauty that is so dramatic it knocks the wind from you. So unlike anything ever seen, you'll likely stand transfixed as you fall under her spell

The only danger is not being held by her beauty. To miss out on such lust is to miss out on the richness of life

I came here some 6 years ago because the name stirred something deep within me

People often ask how to choose a place to travel, or an XYZ plan to follow

I go to what strums upon the song of my soul. In a world where science has become akin to the god of life, I like to surrender to the unknown

I allow myself to be drawn to the mysterious and to be led by that which cannot be explained. I have romanticized this rebellious nature

And it has yet to do me wrong

There is no rhyme or reason. Quite the opposite. There is only a deep knowing that listens not to so-called facts or statistics

Sometimes we needn’t a reason, just that it feels right

There’s a deep balance to be made between the thinking and the feeling, and we are far estranged from the latter

More often than not, it is the feeling that illuminates the deep knowing of that which is meant for us and that which isn’t

The deep knowing is the voice of the soul, the only true voice for ourselves

It was with unadulterated captivation that I was first held by the magic of Baja some 6 years ago

And still, she holds me still.
