Como Vitamina

Las Torres, Torres del Paine, Última Esperanza, Chile 🇨🇱

And all that pours forth is jeweled turquoise

All the gems & riches of the world swimming before & all around me, at hand’s reach, sitting at my feet

It’s a sight that brings me a peace I cannot put into words

A place I’ve longed for for a very long while

It is the reason I’ve come, to see her towers, to sit beneath her magnificence

I’ve come because I crave to be properly nourished

To feast on true sustenance, what holds true currency in the sovereign state I call my own.

Into the heart of the mountains, in the deep south, far from the periphery of where cultured life exists

To let the elements awaken senses that often go dormant from the humdrum of life

To learn the lessons of this wild world, for sometimes, many times, I think there is no wiser teacher

And above all, to I came to fill myself with soul food, spirit food, that which has the power of revivification

Too often we don’t properly nourish ourselves – the food may be of quality, but what of the soil? What of where we call home, where we plant our seeds of dreams for the future.

What of the air? Are we able to breathe in fully, or does it catch in the chest, restricting our ability to receive life itself? Is it pure? Or does it choke us as it fills us?

What of the company we keep? Do they brighten our spirit, expand our mind, or drain us into nothingness?

Where does our consciousness go, how do we let our minds rot, when we consume without discernment, without being wary of the consequences?

How do we degrade the soul? Desanctify the spirit?

How will we choose to stop feeding on that which poisons us?

The soul craves true nourishment – that which is wholesome & hearty. It craves rich food & richer experiences

Of connections that leave soft prints upon our hearts

Of knowledge & wisdom that free & inspire us

Of peace that stays us in the most tumultuous of times

To feed on such soul food is the only way we are to truly satiate its appetite for depth, breadth, & profundity.
